Surrounded by 42-hectares of greenery and flower filled gardens, the hotel is set within a charming historic house, which was once a monastery with an 18th-century church.
Set in a striking context: the countryside around the ancient part of Vallo di Lauro, a destination well-known for its archaeological findings and for the production of important national grapes, the Certosa is situated in a strategic position just a few hundred metres from the historical centre of Lauro.
The building houses 45 elegantly furnished rooms and a fully equipped meeting room that can host up to 800 people. The cloister is particularly fascinating and the internal restaurant is named after it.
The monastery, built between 1197 and 1209 at Lauro, a medieval small town in Avellino province, soon became a place of spiritual refuge and agricultural production (very famous for the quality of its products). In 1620 it became an Abbey and in the following century was transformed into a magnificent country residence.

If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to 10 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 6 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All children from 3 to 5 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds. All children from 6 to 12 years are charged 70 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds. All older children or adults are charged 80 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.

All rooms are equipped with soundproof glass and modern conveniences and an internet line.
The Hotel has 3 Restaurant and offer a local and national cooking.
In summer the buffet breakfast is served in the garden.
If guests desire room service, we can serve breakfast in the room until 10.00 with a supplement of EUR 5 per person.
To reach the Hotel "Certosa di San Giacomo" is very simple, exit to Nola on highway A-16 (NA-BA) and follow the indications "Certosa di San Giacomo Hotel".
By train: Nola Railway Station close it about 6 Km.
